Muzungu – white chocolate – made from natural cocoa butter and whole milk

Hey Muzungu* chocolate, the underdog of our bean-to-bar factory!

Producing a pure white chocolate was out of the question for a long time, not only because it is claimed that white chocolate is not real chocolate, but also because we all know them, those flat-tasting and overly sweet bars... However, after several attempts and combinations of the best ingredients, something very delicious emerged. So if you, like us, have been hesitant about white chocolate until now, then give this underdog from AHERZ Chocolates a chance and embark on a journey of taste.

The taste

The main role is played by the inside of whole vanilla beans from Madagascar. Slicing and scraping requires additional work in production, but it has proven to be more than tasty in terms of taste. Fine whole and skimmed milk powder are used as further flavor players and a pinch of Austrian rock salt and cassia cinnamon rounds off the taste experience. The chocolaty aroma of this white chocolate comes from the Natural Cocoa Butter which we use is untreated and not freed from its original cocoa aroma and makes this bar particularly hearty.

*Our friend Usman from Mali (Africa) helped indirectly with the choice of name, one day he wore a shirt with this word on the chest and when Michi asked him, he answered, the word Mzungu is used to describe white-skinned people. Literally translated, it means Swahili something like “ someone who wanders around aimlessly ” or “spinning on the spot”, “dizzy” or “staggering”.
